The Courtyard

Instead of going into a hysteria, the whole thing ceased to faze him.
"Actually, I'm from Florence. And my name is Rinaldo Moretti and you all are freaking me out. Is this all some elaborate joke that you're pulling? 'Cause it isn't funny." He rolled his eyes and looked at the group as if they were insane.
No hysteria for Rinaldo, just denial.

"Then enlighten me. What IS the difference between us and robots?" Jenny countered. She wouldn't change her mind, no matter what the cyborgs answer.

"Emotion, Princess," Holly said sharply. "Humanity. Love, hate, fear, desire, the will to do other things than fight."

"I'm not really getting any of this, but does it really matter what you are rather than who you are?" Rinaldo crossed his arms, ready to head to the mansion. This was all just too insane to be true...

"Humanity." Jenny snorted. "Emotion only gets in the way of doing what needs to be done." She said sternly. "Humanity," she recited, "Is a cyborgs truest weakness. The scientists tried taking it from us, but it didn't help, so they dont even bother anymore." She crossed her arms.

"Who you are only matters if you know who you are..." the sentence was almost a whisper.

Cyan bit her tongue.
"At the risk of sounding cliché a heart. feeling and NEED to be wanted or at least useful. free will and the power to create something from nothing. THAT is how we are still human."
She glared at the blonde her cold words cut at Cyan's already black heart.
"Look here, all i've ever know is a group of people who said what you say and worse, but i ain't buying it. i AM a human, sure i'm messed up beyond all hope, but human i am."
Cyan suddenly noticed something.
"Are you working for this black ghost? if you are i'm gonna beat the crap outta you anyway."
she stepped threateningly towards the blonde.

Holly narrowed her eyes at the blonde, whose words were incredible, not to mention suspicious. "Thank you, Black Ghost," she said.

"What needs to be done? The only thing that needs something done to it is your attitude, you're really bringing everyone down. I mean, if your down, why be selfish and drag everyone else with you? You talk as if being weak is a crime. What does strength give you?" Rinaldo said, taking lines out from his common sense and thoughts on the subject.
When did this conversation get so...philosophical?

cyan nodded.
"I agree with hockey boy. someone needs to give you a happy pill asap."
She still glared at the blonde. ice formed around her feet and began to move up her leg from her standing in one place so long.

Jenny laughed without emotion. "Maybe I do, maybe I dont." she paused a moment to think. "Its not really fair to say i work for Black Ghost. I do what im told, most of the time anyway. Unlike you lot."

And as for my attitude? pft. Attitude is for humans. its part of that whole humanity deal. I have done away with my humanity. Strength earns me a place in my life. Its all I really have, when you get down to it."

Bonnie frowned hoping that the two woman wouldn't burst into fighting.

"Would you both stop it. What we are are cyborgs. It doesn't matter whether we have emotions are not we are what we are. Some just find it best to contain their emotions." She sighed referring the last bit to Jenny, "But in the end you can't hide what you once were, it will always be you just a different version with some add-ons."

She then picked up a stick, a useless weapon as it was.

"Now if that's settled, we have a predicament here other than this debate." She frowned knowing that strangers weren't meant to be trusted. After all, that was what made her susceptible to kidnapping by Black Ghost in the first place.

Then Holly let out a gasp of pain. Her leg hurt terribly.
"Sorry to mess with this..." she squinted at the blonde again. She didn't trust her. "interesting conversation, but would someone come inside with me to find... Gilmore? The wound's starting to short circuit."

"I have a name, y'know..." Rinaldo sighed, looking at Holly for help. "What's this ghost of blackness anyway? Is it bad?" The brunette teen, walking over to Holly, preparing to help the injured cyborg if help was needed.

Cyan shrugged.
"I don't know the guy. You-"
she pointed at jenny.
"You make one wrong move and you aft is mine blondy."
she softened her face at Rinaldo.
"sorry to many names going around at once. Ranald was it... no that's not it... anyway black ghost is a nightmare for them, the nightmare behind my nightmare."

Holly chortled at "ghost of blackness". "He's the one who 'made' us all, save that one," she said, gesturing to Cyan. "Don't you remember being kidnapped?" SHe flinched, then swiftly looked down. "I know I do..." she said quietly, pain constricting her voice.

Jenny, having no way to defend herself, chose to stand still. She could fight physically if need be, but that was all. "Black Ghost is the reason for your existence." she said simply.

"Rinaldo. Rinald. Hockey boy. Whatever works for you, I...really don't care anymore." He sighed. "Kidnapped? No...I don't remember that. I do remember getting ganged up by the sore loser team at the tournament..and then I was, or am here."

Holly burst out, "Not mine!" She took an enraged step toward the blonde girl. "I would still have an actual life, if it wasn't for that cretin! My parents would have been alive... and so would Tevo..." Tears ran between her bared teeth. "What is wrong with you?!"

Bonnie stayed behind Cyan suspicious of Jenny.

"You seem to praise Black Ghost a lot." She knitted her brows at the discomfort of being in the face of an enemy. Confusion withheld her from acting out, maybe she was a friend too, just incredibly messed up.

"We need to get Cat into the mansion." She felt sympathy for the girl who was now crying.

She grimaced at what she would say next, but it was the old saying <i>Keep your friends close and your enemies closer</i> that rang in her head.

"Come with us too." She spoke to Jenny.

She cursed the night sky wishing the sun would break through soon.

"better then me Rinaldo. all remember is the after."
Cyan shuddered at the after.
"Not that it's anything worth remembering."
cyan decided that jenny was bad news.
"Ok blondy you got ten seconds to change your attitude or i'm gonna put you on ice."

Rinaldo was surprised at the girl's outburst and stupidly moved to comfort her. He rubbed her back, not sure of what to say, but words tumbled out of his mouth regardless.
"Are you..okay?"

Jenny's face took on a shocked expression. Such an emotional outcry, it raised a sudden feeling of pity for the girl. She had to work to compose herself. "Be that as it may, its not my fault, and yelling isnt going to fix anything."

Jenny laughed at the girl with the blue hair. "Just try it, Icy." She tensed for a battle. She hadnt been in a real fight in a while. She figured she could avoid the girls touch for as long as necessary.

"Thank you... Bonnie," Holly sighed, wiping her tears. She turned to make her way toward the mansion, then turned back toward Rinaldo. "Are you coming?" She asked, trying to smile through gritted teeth. The pain- emotional and physical- was getting to her.

"You're not the brightest crayon in the box, are you?" Rinaldo raised an eyebrow at Jenny. "Yeah, I'm coming."
He walked after Holly, looking back at the blonde as he did...

"It's on blondy."
Cyan lunge at the blond just trying to grab her. her coolant system was going to get work out which meant that she's be able to freeze the other cyborg's arm easily. the only thing was could she grab it?
